Across Ontario, ECEs and child care workers are risking their health of take care of our kids. Child care centres will remain open while school are closed, and yet, the Ford government has "no plan to move child care workers up in the vaccine queue".
ECEs and child care workers are around with young children who cannot wear masks and do not understand physical distancing. Prioritizing these essential workers will not just help make child care centres safe, they will help make whole communities safe.
